It has been far to long since we have enjoyed a day at the park. So Blair and I woke up this morning and decided to buy a kite and a baseball. Today was the perfect day to fly the kites. The wind had picked up so much that we didn't even have to run with the kites to get them to take off. Blair got one that looked like a lizard and I got one that looked like a cute lady bug. It was a blast watching the dogs looking up at the sky, trying to figure out what we were doing.
There is something about flying a kite that makes me feel childish again. It is such simple entertainment. It's a good reminder that even with all this technology, some times the simple toys can be just as entertaining.
Then we decided it would be fun to play catch. Blair taught me how to catch a baseball. And I am going to blame him for me not catching the ball that hit me in the shin. These are the reasons
1. He is the one that taught me how to catch, so he must have taught me incorrectly lol
2. He was the one throwing the ball to me, and my leg is not where he taught me to catch the ball
But either way we had a blast. I was a little scared of the baseball after that, but we still continued to play.
Now that we are home and relaxing it is funny watching the dogs. They are passed out and have NO energy. Lucky usually brings us his food bowl at 4:00 to remind us its time to eat. Today he is just laying by his food bowl sleeping. I'm sure he's dreaming about eating but just doesn't have the energy to actually eat.

Family
Today I was looking through my pictures and came across the picture of the Keele Family Reunion. some people my just see a group of people, with a few crazy looking people in there (just teasin family). When I look at it I see so much more. So I decided to share what I see.
The first thing I see are Parents that loved and cared for me through very though times. They always made sure I had what I needed, not wanted but needed, and taught me how to prepare to live on my own. Parents that bailed my out of trouble, as much trouble as I could get in with Andrea which wasn't much.
I also see some brothers that always looked out for me. When I fell and got hurt they fell and got hurt. When I didn't have anything to do for the day they would let their annoying sister tag along. They taught me how to fend for myself and taught me about boys.
Then there's my sister! I prayed for her for so long. It was wonderful to have my 3 brothers but I always wanted a sister to play with. And even when she was little I loved having her around. She always knew how to make me smile. It's so nice to know that she knows all my secrets and still loves me. And now we are blessed enough to have 2 more sisters. It my be by marriage that we are sisters but in our hearts and minds they are blood sisters. It's so fun just dancing with the girls on the Wii or having a spa night.
Then I see Grandparents that LOVED each one of their grandkids so much. They know everything there is to know about each one of us. So many memories of Hamburgers, wink wink I love you Grandma, and swimming at their house. Their grandkids where always number one in their lives. Whenever I see them I see what Marriage is about. They have been married for over 50 years and they still hold hands. It is extremely adorable.
Cousins wow so many of us. And we all have our own memories. Swimming at Aunt Chris and Uncle Cody's. Or hanging out at the Clark County Fair. The Disneyland trips when the car rides were better then the theme park. The Christmas eve party's and the best part of the night was reading the birth of Christ. And all the Thanksgivings where Aunt Chris and Kary where atleast an hour late but we still waited, even though we hadn't eaten anything all day (you'd think we would learn lol). All of stick together, if there is a wedding in the family you'd better make room for us. And when someone can't make it to a huge event they are so missed but eveyone is understanding.
Family is very important in my life and I am so grateful for the amazing memories my family has given my. And for their help celebrating with me when I succeed and praying for me when I am down. I love everyone in my family so much.
I guess this is what it means when people say "A picture is worth a thousand words". I can talk a lot so in my case maybe it should be "A picture is worth at least 10,000 words"

Extended family on my mom's side
My trip to Micheals
My trips to Micheal's are pretty often. Today I went with no purpose but to buy crafty stuff that I don't need but want. so I was walking around the store and they already have Holiday stuff out. I'm talking Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas. I can't believe it, it's not even September yet. Anyway, now I am extremely excited for Christmas. Our Christmas tree theme has been the same for a few years, and this year I am changing it up. We are going with Lavender and Silver ( the colors I wanted for our wedding and Blair Vetoed :), and angels everywhere. I figured the angels would be appropriate since I lost two Grandmas this year, and it has been really hard, But I know they are looking out for us.
